Who we are

Alterday is run for now by Jakub Biedzki, the person responsible for your data. Registered address: ul. Wilcza 12c, 00-532 Warszawa, Poland. Write to hello@alterday.app.

What we collect, and why

Your email and, if you give it, a first name, to let you in and to reach you about your account. A record of what you did in the world: which room, which things were on offer, what you took, what you left, how long you held, and which of the world's drawn people were on the screen at the time, so that an AI you connect can read it. If you connect one, the questions it asks, kept for 90 days, so we can see how the reading is used.

The people in the world

Vera, Sam, Danny and Ruth are drawn figures that follow rules. They remember what you did with them in the world and act on it next time; they know nothing about you outside it. No model runs while you play.

What we never do

No line of your record is ever shown to anyone, including us, in a form that names you. Nothing is sold. No advertising. No test, score or diagnosis. No decision about you is made by a machine. No research or model-building from your record without asking you first, separately.

Where it is kept

In the European Union (currently Microsoft Azure, Frankfurt). The AI you connect is your choice and outside our control; it may be outside the EU.

Who can see anything

Microsoft, as the company that runs our servers. The AI you connect: counts and short statements, never the record. Nobody else unless you say yes to it on a screen like the one you agreed on.

How long

Your record and account: for as long as your account exists. Delete the account and everything goes within the hour.

Your rights

See what we hold, correct it, delete it, take your consent back, complain to the Polish data protection office (PUODO). Deleting and withdrawing are one tap in Settings; anything else, write to us and we answer within a month.

On your device

A few small entries in your browser's storage keep you signed in and remember your answer. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Age

You must be 18 or older.

Beta

Alterday is early; things will change and some will break. That changes nothing above.

Changes

If what is recorded, where it goes or who can read it changes, we ask you again before it happens. Wording changes are dated here.

24 September 2026, version 5 of the agreement: names Jakub Biedzki, not the earlier company, as the person responsible for your data; states the hosting region so it stays true if the provider changes; asks existing accounts to agree again. 21 September 2026, version 4: added the registered company details, corrected the hosting region to Frankfurt, disclosed the cross-user comparison switch and the model's watch notes, and raised the age to 18. 17 September 2026, version 3 of the agreement: says which of the world's drawn people were on the screen at each action, that they remember by rule, and that this is a beta; the optional research tick is withdrawn until research exists. 16 September 2026, version 2, the first.
